"You get to see so many ideas and variations on things. It's so amazing! I just love seeing everybody's work every night."
There are two tracks of choreographers. The Emerging Track is for young, upcoming choreographers. These choreographers are closely guided by the Directors of Choreography and Music. They are given choreographic assignments each day to work on. Their studies are then shown at the evening showcases. Emerging Choreographers must be studying dance at an intermediate to advanced level and be at least 16 years of age. A letter of recommendation from their Artistic Director must accompany Emerging Choreographer applications.
The Project Tier Track is for more established choreographers. Project Tier choreographers are given dancers and space to created a more fully developed work. The work in progress will be shown at the evening showings. Feedback will be given as needed and at the critique sessions.
Choreographers are chosen by the Director of Choreography via a video audition of their work. Choreographers are accepted for the two week program only. Applications must be received no later than February 1, 2017.
